BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming team opened the 2025-26 and Ohio Athletic Conference season in dominant fashion as it defeated Wilmington College by a final score of 165-28 in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW (1-0, 1-0 OAC) won every individual and relay race against Wilmington (0-1, 0-1 OAC).
Individuals
- Sophomore All-OAC stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) won the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley in times of 1:04.96 and 2:20.38 respectively
- Sophomore All-OAC freestyler Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) won the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke in times of 58.67 and 1:14.20
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.36
- Senior Academic All-OAC freestyler Ariel Lisy (Strongsville) won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:06.71
- Junior stroker Kaela Gallion (Valley City/Buckeye) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:43.14
- Freshman stroker Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:14.38
- Sophomore stroker Addie Darding (Columbus/Upper Arlington) won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.73
Relays
- The 200-yard medley squad of junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf), junior stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central), Radcliff and Wands won in a time of 1:59.21
- The 200-yard freestyle unit of Darding, Slife, sophomore freestyler Annalise Bolton (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Upcraft won in a time of 1:51.34
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 25 when they host a pair of non-conference dual meets against Allegheny (Pa.) College and Fredonia (N.Y.) University at 11 a.m.
