AUSTIN, Texas – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-American women's diver
Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) capped off her historic season by earning 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American honors for the first time in her career.
Mincey, who carries a perfect 4.000 grade point average in mathematics and accounting, was named to the third team. She is the lone representative from the Ohio Athletic Conference and is just one of seven student-athletes from a college or university in the state of Ohio.
Mincey becomes the 140th BW student-athlete to be named as an Academic All-American and the third women's swimming and diving student-athlete to earn the honor, including the first since Athletics Alumni Hall of Fame Diver Julie Pinter '13 was a back-to-back first team honoree in 2012 and 2013. The 140 Yellow Jackets that have been honored is more than any other college or university in the OAC and ranks 12th nationally in Division III.
This season, she was the NCAA Division III National Runner-Up in the 1-meter, NCAA Division III Region I Champion in the 1-meter, the Ohio Athletic Conference Diver of the Year, the OAC Champion in the 1-meter and 3-meter and claimed two All-OAC honors.
Mincey became the first BW All-American diver since 2012.
