BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team remained unbeaten as it defeated Allegheny (Pa.) College and Fredonia (N.Y.) University in a tri-meet in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW (3-0) defeated Allegheny by a score of 159-77 and Fredonia by a score of 199-29.
Individuals
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) won the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley in times of 58.59 and 2:24.35, respectively
- Sophomore All-OAC diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won the 1-meter and 3-meter with 283.40 and 224.40, points.
- Freshman Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:58.32
- Junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:08.11
- Freshman stroker Sydney Harbour (North Canton/GlenOak) won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.40
- Sophomore stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover), who is this week's OAC Female Swimmer of the Week, won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.35
- Sophomore All-OAC freestyler Amelia Wands (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.52
- Junior Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:15.02
- Junior stroker Kaela Gallion (Valley City/Buckeye) took third in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:08.66
Relays
- The 200-yard medley squad of Harbour, Wands, Radcliffe and sophomore stroker Addie Darding (Columbus/Upper Arlington) won in a time of 1:58.00
- The 400-yard freestyle unit of Slife, Gallion, Stahlin and Upcraft took second in a time of 4:05.08
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 1 when they travel to Delaware for a non-conference dual meet against Ohio Wesleyan University in the Pfeiffer Natatorium inside the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center at 1 p.m.
