DELAWARE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team defeated Ohio Wesleyan University in a non-conference dual meet by a final score of 145-92 in the Pfeiffer Natatorium inside the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center.
BW (4-0) won seven individual events and one relay against Ohio Wesleyan (1-2).
Individuals
- Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won the 1-meter and 3-meter with 287.45 and 260.25 points, respectively
- Sophomore All-OAC freestyler Amelia Wands (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) won the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in times of 25.42 and 58.31, respectively
- Sophomore All-OAC Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:21.42 and took second in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:21.78
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:25.52
- Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:53.17
- Junior Kaela Gallion (Valley City/Buckeye) took second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:32.07
- Junior stroker Abby Marquardt (Columbus/Upper Arlington) took second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:4125
Relays
- The 200-yard freestyle unit of Upcraft, freshman stroker Sydney Harbour (North Canton/Hoover), sophomore Addie Darding (Columbus/Upper Arlington) and junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) won in a time of 1:49.08
- The 200-yard medley squad of Slife, Marquardt, Radcliff and Wands took second in a time of 2:00.86
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, November 7 when they travel to Ashland for a dual meet against NCAA Division II Ashland University in Messerly Natatorium inside the Rybolt Recreation Center at 6 p.m.
