MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Baldwin Wallace University football junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference linebacker
Nolan Hartsel (Lodi/Northwestern) and senior All-OAC defensive back
Colin Kaufmann (Avon) have been named to the 2025 D3football.com All-America Team.
The duo were selected to the second team defense.
Hartsel, who garners his first career honor, led the OAC in tackles with a career-high 96, including recording a career-best tying 19 in two games. He was named the OAC Gene Slaughter Most Outstanding Linebacker Award winner as well being named to the All-OAC first team for the first time in his career.
Hartsel also recorded six tackles for a loss of 19 yards, three quarterback hurries, one sack, one interception and one pass breakup. He was named the OAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 20 after his first 19 tackle performance in a victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.).
For his career,
Hartsel has appeared in 30 games and has tallied 161 tackles, including 17 for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Off the field, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team selection, Dean's List student and a member of the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society.
Kaufmann, who earns his first D3football.com honor, was named to the Associated Press (AP) All-America third team earlier this season. He tied for second in the OAC with a career-high 10 pass breakups while recording 23 tackles, including one for a loss.
Kaufmann was named the OAC Co- Lee Tressel Most Outstanding Defensive Back Award winner as well being named to the All-OAC first team for the first time in his career. He was also a D3football.com All-Region 4 first team honoree.
In two seasons in Berea,
Kaufmann appeared in 19 games and recorded 45 tackles, including three for a loss, 20 pass breakups, two quarterback sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception that he returned for a touchdown in his very first game.
BW finished the 2025 campaign with an overall record of 8-2 and an OAC slate of 6-2.
