ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 83-69 in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
BW Leaders (10-14, 6-11 OAC)
- Sophomore forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls / Stow-Munroe Falls) led the way with a team-high 24 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one block
- Junior All-OAC guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) put up 16 points along with three rebounds and one steal
Mount Union Leaders (17-7, 14-3 OAC)
- Senior forward Christian Parker scored a team-high 19 points with seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal
- Junior forward Kevin Moore notched 18 points with two assists, one rebound and one steal
- Freshman guard Chance Casenhiser tallied 18 points with seven assists, four rebounds and three steals
First Half
- BW outscored Mount Union 39-35
- The Purple Raiders won the three-pointer battle by a 6-3 margin
- The Yellow Jackets tied Mount Union with six assists
Second Half
- The Purple Raiders outscored the Brown and Gold 48-30
- Mount Union provided the most assists with 13
- The Purple Raiders scored the most three-pointers with four total
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 22 for their regular season finale in an OAC road contest against Marietta College. The game is set to begin at 4 p.m. in the Ban Johnson Arena.
