CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite, hosted by Case Western Reserve University in the Veale Center. The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 50.36.
- Freshman distance runner Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson) won the one-mile run in a time of 4:24.13.
- Junior All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) won the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:30.39.
- Freshman sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville) won the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.95.
Field event highlights:
- Junior sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion / Harding) won the long jump with a distance of 7.25 meters.
- Senior thrower Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) won the weight throw with a mark of 17.67 meters.
- Senior thrower Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) won the shot put with a distance of 14.95 meters .
- Sophomore jumper Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) won the high jump with a mark of 1.94 meters.
On the relay side:
- In the 4x400 relay squad, Sikorski, sophomore All-OAC distance runner Dillon Hach (Medina), sophomore distance runner Andrew Piehler (Medina), and Prato won in a time of 3:33.65.
BW is back in action on Friday, Feb. 28 as it travels to Ada, Ohio for day one of the OAC Indoor Championships (hosted by Ohio Northern University).
