ADA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team stands in fifth place after the first day of the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Ohio Northern University.
BW is fifth of 10 teams with 33 points. University of Mount Union is first with 65 points.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Sophomore All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) earned All-OAC honors in the 400-meter dash after finishing third in a time of 49.73.
Field events highlighted:
- Junior All-OAC sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion / Harding) earned All-OAC honors in the long jump after placing second with a mark of 7.18 meters.
On the relay side:
- In the distance medley relay crew, junior All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia), Noeth, freshman All-OAC distance runner Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson), and sophomore All-OAC distance runner Dillon Hach (Medina) earned All-OAC honors after winning in a time of 10:10.69.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 1 for the second and final day of the OAC Indoor Championships. Saturday's action is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. inside the ONU Sports Center.
