Kiesel, Pfeiffer, and Others Earn All-OAC Honors; Men's Indoor Track and Field Earns Runner-Up Finish After Day Two of OAC Championships

ADA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished in second place after the second and final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Ohio Northern University.

BW was second of 10 teams with 132 points. University of Mount Union won the OAC Indoor Championships with 178 points.

During tonight's podium ceremony, the coaching staff was recognized as the OAC Men's Staff of the Year for the 2024-25 indoor season.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included: 

  • Junior All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) earned All-OAC honors in the one-mile run after placing second in a time of 4:16.49
  • Sophomore All-OAC hurdler Samuel Skor (Columbia Station / Columbia) earned All-OAC honors in the 60-meter hurdles after placing second in a time of 8.63.
  • Sophomore All-OAC distance runner Dillon Hach (Medina) earned All-OAC honors in the one-mile run after finishing third in a time of 4:17.21.
  • Freshman All-OAC distance runner Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson) earned All-OAC honors in the 800-meter run after finishing third in a time of 1:57.66.
Field events highlighted:
  • Senior All-American jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) earned All-OAC honors in the high jump after winning with a mark of 2.10 meters.
  • Senior All-OAC thrower Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) earned All-OAC honors in the shot put after placing second with a distance of 16.01 meters.
  • Sophomore All-OAC jumper Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) earned All-OAC honors in the high jump after finishing second with a mark of 1.99 meters.
  • Senior All-OAC thrower Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) earned All-OAC honors in the shot put after placing third with a distance of 15.76 meters.
On the relay side:
  • In the 4x200 relay squad, sophomore All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty), freshman All-OAC sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville), junior All-OAC sprinter Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights / Benedictine), and junior All-OAC sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion / Harding) earned All-OAC honors after placing second in a time of 1:30.37.
BW is back in action on Saturday, March 8 for the Polar Bear Qualifier (hosted by Ohio Northern University) and the Tufts Qualifying Meet (hosted by Tufts [Mass.] University).
