ASHLAND, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Fourth Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by NCAA Division II Ashland University. The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed seventh in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:53.72
Field event highlights:
- Senior All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) finished second in the high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters
- Junior sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion / Harding) placed second in the long jump with a distance of 7.23 meters
On the relay side:
- In the 4x400 relay squad, sophomore All-OAC distance runner Dillon Hach (Medina), sophomore All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty), freshman distance runner Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson), and freshman sprinter/hurdler Oliver Veliquette (Louisville, Ky. / Louisville Collegiate School) finished fourth in a time of 3:23.32
The Yellow Jackets also competed at the Dan Kinsey Invite, hosted by Oberlin College. The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Freshman distance runner Nick Swartz (Marion / Pleasant) won the one-mile run in a time of 4:32.99
- Sophomore sprinter Joe Blahovec (Greensburg, Pa. / Greensburg Central Catholic) placed second in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.26
- Freshman distance runner Isaak Keller (Seven Hills / Normandy) finished second in the one-mile run in a time of 4:33.24
Field event highlights:
- Senior thrower John Haberman (Hamburg, N.Y.) won the weight throw with a distance of 15.66 meters
- Sophomore thrower Ethan Jones (Avon) won the shot put with a mark of 13.83 meters
- Sophomore pole vaulter Connor Radojcsics (Mount Gilead / Northmor) won the pole vault with a distance of 4.10 meters
On the relay side:
- In the 4x200 relay crew, freshman sprinter Addison Martinez (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls), freshman sprinter Khalil Rahman (Pickerington / Patriot Preparatory Academy), junior sprinter Trey Powell (Loveland), and junior sprinter Jalen Kelso (East Cleveland / Wickliffe) won in a time of 1:38.25
BW is back in action Friday, Feb. 14 at 4 p.m. as it hosts its final indoor home meet, the Mid-February Meet, on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
