LEXINGTON, Ky. - The No. 11 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University baseball team opened their road round-robin tournament hosted by Transylvania (Ky.) University as they defeated Hope (Mich.) College by a final score of 12-1 at Legends Stadium.

- Top 2nd - Sophomore third baseman Colin West (Westborough, Mass./Worcester Academy) made it three straight games with a hit with an RBI single
- Top 4th - Kilbane grounded out but tallied another RBI
- Top 6th - Kilbane singled up the middle for his third RBI of the day
- Top 6th - Senior outfielder Brandon Gelpi (Monroeville, Pa./Central Catholic) had a pinch-hit sac fly for his first RBI of the season
- Top 7th - Junior All-OAC center fielder Dennis Ritlinger-Nirider (Grove City) beat out the throw for an infield single and advanced on an error as Terzola came into score
- Top 7th - Sophomore infielder Jace Druschel (Tampa, Fla./George Steinbrenner) had a pinch-hit single to put BW up 10
- Top 7th - Gelpi lined one to right to bring in the final run of the day for the Brown and Gold
At the Plate
- Senior right fielder Justin Carinci (Ajax, Ontario/Pickering) also tallied two hits and scored a team-high four runs
- Marousek went 2-for-3 with three runs scored
- Kilbane knocked in a game-high three RBI
- Terzola went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI
On the Mound
- Junior All-OAC right-hander Tyler Walker (Fairlawn/Copley) earned his first win of the season after pitching five innings where he racked up seven strikeouts and allowed only one run on three hits and five walks
- Sophomore right-hander Matt Moscarino (Strongsville/Padua Franciscan) pitched the final two innings where he struck out four and allowed one hit and one walk
The Yellow Jackets are back in action Sunday, March 2 as they continue the round-robin tournament in Lexington, Kentucky by taking on Babson (Mass.) College at 10 a.m. and the host Transylvania at 1 p.m. at Legends Stadium.
