No. 20 Men's Volleyball Falls to Wittenberg in MCVL Matchup

BEREA, Ohio - The No. 20 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team fell to Wittenberg University in a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match by a final score of 3-1 in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

BW Leaders (14-9, 2-1 MCVL)

  • Sophomore outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) led the Brown and Gold offense with a match-high 24 kills and added five digs and three blocks
  • Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Ted Hofmeister (Powell/Saint Charles) finished with a statline of 14 kills, six digs, and a team-high three aces
  • Senior Academic All-MCVL setter Carson Junker (Massillon/Jackson) had a match-high 49 assists and added six digs
  • Sophomore Academic All-MCVL right-side hitter Jacob Esteves (Wickliffe/St. Edward) added seven kills and recorded three block assists for the Jackets
  • Junior Academic All-MCVL libero Aiden Kim (Bothell, Wash./North Creek) held down the defense with nine digs
  • Junior Academic All-MCVL middle hitter Colby Whiteside (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) led the team in blocks with two solos and two assists

Wittenberg Leaders (15-8, 2-0 MCVL)

  • Junior outside hitter Eli Halverson led the Tigers with 10 kills
  • Sophomore middle hitter Reese Monnin recorded three block solos and four block assists
  • Junior libero Jake Downs tallied a game-high 15 digs
