BEREA, Ohio - The No. 20 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team defeated Mount St. Joseph University in a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match by a final score of 3-0 in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (15-9, 3-1 MCVL)
- Junior Academic All-MCVL middle hitter Colby Whiteside (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) recorded his sixth 5+ block game of the season with six blocks and added seven kills on the offensive side of the ball
- Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Ted Hofmeister (Powell/Saint Charles) and sophomore outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) each finished with a line of 10 kills and six digs
- Senior Academic All-MCVL setter Carson Junker (Massillon/Jackson), the MCVL assists leader, recorded his 750th assist of the season with 35 today against the Lions
- Sophomore Academic All-MCVL right-side hitter Jacob Esteves (Wickliffe/St. Edward) also contributed seven kills, three digs, and two blocks
- Hofmeister added four blocks
- Latham added his 40th ace of the season
Mount St. Joseph Leaders (8-13, 0-3 MCVL)
- Freshman outside hitter Carson Reed led the MSJ offense with six kills
- Senior setter Ben Carmosino assisted 16 times for the Lions
- Junior outside hitter JJ Rennekamp put up a match-high seven digs
