BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team fell to Calvin (Mich.) University in overtime in a non-conference matchup by a final score of 17-16 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW (4-5) was led by junior attack
Mariana Melgoza (Avon Lake) as she scored six goals with two caused turnovers, one ground ball and one assist. The Yellow Jackets were also led by sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder
Clare Alic (Carmel, Ind. / Guerin Catholic) as she notched five goals with four ground balls and one assist.

- BW won the draw control battle by a 6-1 margin
- The Knights made the most shots with nine total

- The Jackets tied Calvin with five goals
- The Knights and BW were even with eight shots
- The Brown and Gold won the draw control battle by a 6-5 margin

- BW tallied the most goals with four
- The Yellow Jackets made the most shots with 10 total
- The Brown and Gold won the draw control battle by a 4-2 margin

- The Jackets notched the most goals with five
- The Knights won the draw control battle by a 4-3 margin
- BW and Calvin were even with eight shots

- Calvin made the lone two shots of the period, resulting in the game-winning goal
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, March 26 for a non-conference home contest against Kenyon College. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
