MARIETTA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Pioneer Classic hosted by Marietta College at the Marietta Country Club.
BW was fourth of eight team with a two-day total score of 762 on the par 72 and 5613-yard Marietta layout. Denison University was the champion with a score of 646.

- Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) fired rounds of 89 and 85 for a two-round total of 174
- Senior Academic All-OAC Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded rounds of 94 and 86 for a two-day total of 180
- Freshman Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) shot rounds of 92 and 105 for a two-day round of 197
- Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) posted rounds of 109 and 105 for a two-round total of 214
- Freshman Jessie Herron (Tiffin/Columbian) had rounds of 106 and 114 for a two-day total of 220
Individual
- Senior Halle Kalaman (Tallmadge/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) had a 101 in the first round before withdrawing in round two
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30 when they travel to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
