DELAWARE, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field team took first place at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on the George Gauthier Track inside of Selby Stadium.

BW placed first out of 14 participating teams with 172 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

• Freshman All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville) won the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash in a time of 10.67 and 21.65, respectively.
• Sophomore All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) placed third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.09. Noeth also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.01.

Field event highlights:

• Junior All-American long jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion / Harding) won the long jump with a mark of 7.49 meters.
• Sophomore thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) won the hammer throw with a distance of 56.24 meters.
• Senior All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump with a mark of 2.09 meters.
• Senior All-OAC thrower Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) won the discus throw with a distance of 44.52 meters.

On the relay side:

• In the 4x100 relay squad, Simmons, Faggs, junior sprinter Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights / Benedictine) and sophomore sprinter Joe Blahovec (Greensburg, Pa. / Greensburg Central Catholic) won in a time of 41.48.

Junior All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) competed in the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by NCAA Division I Bucknell (Pa.) University.

• Sikorski competed in the 800-meter run, finishing in a time of 1:55.42. He also finished the 1500-meter run invite in a time of 3:56.38.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 18 for the Otterbein Twilight at 10:00 a.m. and the 55th Sparky Adams Invitational at 11:00 a.m.
