Men's Outdoor Track and Field Wins 55th Annual Sparky Adams Invitational

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team took first place at its first home meet of the outdoor season in the 55th Sparky Adams Invitational.

BW placed first out of 11 participating teams with 191 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
  • Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.04. Noeth also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing second in a time of 22.03.
  • Junior All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) won the 800-meter run in a time of 1:54.14. Sikorski also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, placing second in a time of 15.97.
Field event highlights:
  • Junior All-OAC triple jumper Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) won the triple jump with a mark of 13.79 meters.
  • Senior All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump with a distance of 2.04 meters.
On the relay side:
  • In the 4x400 relay squad, Sikorski, freshman All-OAC distance runner Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson), freshman sprinter Addison Martinez (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls), and Noeth finished second in a time of 3:25.09.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, April 24 for the Walsh Tune-Up (hosted by University of Mount Union).
