BEREA, Ohio – In its final regular season match of the 2024-25 season, the Baldwin Wallace University women's team fell to Capital University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match up by a final score of 7-0 on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.
 
Capital (8-7, 2-3 OAC) won all three doubles matches and six singles matches over BW (2-15, 0-5 OAC).
 
Doubles

• Sophomore Colleen Andersen (Ashtabula/St. John) and Olivia Koutouras (Avon Lake) fell at first doubles by a score of 6-2
• Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Emma Trost (Norwalk) and sophomore Saraphina Groh (Cuyahoga Falls) fell at second doubles by a score of 6-3
• Senior Mariah Kaim (Parma/Lakewood) and sophomore Samantha Thielen (Toledo/Sylvania Northview) fell at third doubles by a score of 6-5 and 9-7 in the tie breaker

Singles

• Andersen fell at first singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-2
• Groh fell at second singles by scores 6-1 and 6-0
• Koutouras fell at third singles by identical scores of 6-1
• Trost fell at fourth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-3
• Junior Gillian Brown (Brunswick) fell at fifth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-0
• Kaim fell at sixth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-0

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, April 30 when they travel to Alliance for an OAC Tournament match against the University of Mount Union on the Whitehill Courts at 4:30 p.m.
