Box Score BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team had a 0-0 draw in its season opener against Geneva College (Pa.) at Reeves Field.
BW (0-0-1) gave themselves numerous chances to get on the scoreboard, highlighted by 12 shots taken in the second half, with four of them being on goal. They held the Golden Tornadoes (1-0-1) to two shots taken in the second half of play, with none of them being on goal.

Senior Academic All-OAC midfielder Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich.) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with four shots taken and three of them on goal

Junior Academic All-OAC midfielder Mia Fourtounis (Akron/Revere), junior midfielder Sophie Kirsten (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North), and sophomore defenseman Katie King (Brunswick) all tallied two shots to help the offense.

Junior netminder Kelly Carver (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville East) made the second start of her collegiate career, recording a save and was at the net in all 90 minutes of play.

BW had eight corner kicks and Geneva had only one.

First Half
The contest was scoreless after 45 minutes of play. BW led the way with five shots to Geneva's four. The Brown and Gold won the shots on goal battle 4-1, in addition to total shots taken.
Second Half
After 90 minutes of play, the game ended in a 0-0 draw. The game marks the first occasion since October 31, 2023, that the Yellow Jackets competed in a 0-0 draw, doing so on the road at Capital two seasons ago.
