Today's Contest
Today is the third game of the 2025 season and the second overall and first road Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it travels to Bexley to face Capital University. BW opened the home slate last Saturday with a 63-21 victory over Wilmington College in the Lee Tressel Shrine Classic.  Capital opened its season as it won its first of three straight home game with a 36-20 victory over Catholic (D.C.) University.

The Series
BW and Capital are meeting for the 56th time on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 43-12 series lead, including winning the last seven contests and 11 of the last 12 meetings. The series began in 1928 when Capital defeated BW, 19-0, in Bexley.  Capital's last victory in was in 2016 when it posted a 42-41 overtime victory as the Yellow Jackets 2-point conversion for the victory came up short.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert
Hilvert is in his ninth season at BW and has a record of 51-23 and Ohio Athletic Conference slate of 43-21. He is 118-42 in his 16th overall season. Hilvert is 7-0 against Capital.

Capital Head Coach Brian Foos
Foos, who is in his sixth season at Capital, is no stranger to BW as he served as offensive coordinator on Hilvert's staff from 2016-18. Foos has an overall record of 5-40 and an OAC mark of 3-27.  He is 0-5 against Baldwin Wallace as the Yellow Jackets and Comets did not play in the COVID-19 shortened season of 2021 spring.

Unique Schedule
In a rare occurrence within the OAC, all member teams will face two non-conference opponents this season. Traditionally, the opening game has served as the sole out-of-league matchup. However, this year, BW will also take on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology from Indiana in October. This game replaces the previously scheduled contest against John Carroll University, which has since departed the conference.

Trailblazing Streaming Home
BW and the entire OAC have signed an exclusive five-year media rights deal with FloCollege, granting full rights to provide live and on-demand coverage of all OAC webstreams. Viewers can subscribe with per-game, monthly, or annual payment options.
