CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was defeated in a road contest by No. 4 nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University by a score of 5-0 on DiSanto Field.

BW Leaders (1-7-2)

• Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Grace Helmke (Manchester, Mich.) led BW with one shot taken, and it was on the target

• Junior forward Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay) additionally added a shot

CWRU Leaders (3-5-1)

• Midfielder Angelee Rodriguez scored two goals to lead the Spartan offense

• Forwards Alexis Sassower and Izzy Probst each had one assist 

• Midfielder Abby Welker led the way by taking four shots and two on goal

• Case had seven other players take two shots on goal to tie Welker for the lead in this respective Category

• Goalkeeper Ellie Palaian had one save while protecting the net all 90 minutes

First Half (CWRU 5-0)

• 1:50 - Mackenzie Mueller quickly got the Spartans on the board first, which was assisted by Sassower

• 11:43 - Maggie Farra made it a 2-0 lead on a goal that was unassisted

• 41:58 - Andrea Silva scored minutes before the half to give Case the lead by three, which was also unassisted

• 44:42 - Rodriguez scored the final goal, assisted by Probst, to get a four-goal advantage at the half

Second Half (CWRU 5-0)

• 74:39 - Rodriguez added her second goal of the game, low-left to add an insurance goal for the Spartans
