BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team defeated Bluffton University and Heidelberg University in a tri-meet in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW (6-2, 2-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) defeated Bluffton (0-6) in a non-conference meet by a final score of 195-17. The Yellow Jackets upended Heidelberg (2-6, 0-3 OAC) in an OAC meet by a final score of 177-57.
Individuals
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.65 and 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:23.40
- Senior Academic All-OAC stroker Morgan Ingalls (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time 12:33.98
- Junior Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:13.74
- Junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:07.38
- Freshman Sydney Harbour North Canton/Hoover) won the 100-yard backstroke in a time 1:06.06
- Sophomore stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:01.38
- Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) won the 500-yard freestyle in a time 5:45.71
- Senior freestyler Emily Kusar (Perry) took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.22
Diving
- Sophomore All-OAC Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won the 1-meter and 3-meter with 281.30 and 247.25 points, respectively.
- Sophomore All-OAC Emmalie Mitzel (Massillon/Jackson) finished second in the 1-meter and 3-meter with 260.90 and 225.65 points, respectively
Relays
- The 200-yard medley squad of Harbour, Wands, Radcliff and junior Academic All-OAC stroker Zoey Hicks (Perry) won in a time of 1:58.52
- The 400-yard freestyle unit of Upcraft, Harbour, sophomore freestyle Annalise Bolton (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Wands finished second in a time of 4:06.07
BW is back in action on Saturday, January 17 when it closes out the home portion of its schedule with an OAC and Seniors' Day meet against Ohio Northern University at 1 p.m.
