BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has moved up to No. 16 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and No. 20 in the D3Hoops.com top-25 polls. The Yellow Jackets are tied for No. 16 alongside Denison University in the WBCA poll.
The Yellow Jackets improved one spot in the WBCA poll and three spots in the D3Hoops.com poll. No. 16 ties BW's highest ranking of the season in the WBCA poll, which was awarded in the preseason. BW is the lone representative of the Ohio Athletic Conference in both polls.
After starting the season 3-2, the Yellow Jackets have won eight straight games to improve their record to 11-2 with a 4-0 OAC record. The smallest margin of victory during that stretch was a 54-52 home game against Mount Union, who was voted to finish third in the OAC Preseason Coaches Poll. The Jackets largest margin of victory came against Muskingum four days later with a 106-60 drubbing of the Muskies. This was BW's largest victory margin since beating the Muskies in the 2022 OAC Quarterfinals by 49 points. The 106-point game is only two points shy of the program record 108 points scored in the 1995-96 season against Ohio Northern.
