ADA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to Ohio Northern University by a final score of 1-0 for their first Ohio Athletic Conference loss played away from home.
The Polar Bears scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 76th minute of play to come through with the victory.

Neither team scored in the opening 45 minutes of play. The Yellow Jackets as a team took one shot while goalkeeper
Mackenzie Butcher recorded five saves. The defensive performance was enough to hold the Polar Bears and keep it a scoreless contest after the first 45 minutes of play.
The second half started in a very similar fashion. The Yellow Jackets were able to manage three corner kicks in the 59th, 62nd and 67th minutes of the game but were unable to convert on these opportunities. Nine minutes later, ONU converted on a goal that was scored on a penalty kick to give them the win over the Brown and Gold.
The Matchup
The battle was the 21st time that the schools have met since 2008.
