Morgan Petrecca on their squad as she collected three kills in a 7-1 scoring run to cement BW's lead.
Set 2 (BW, 25-20): Denison had a meager .056 hitting efficiency, partially due to the five blocks that BW made in the second set. Petrecca was responsible for three of them. Sophomore middle hitter
Emily Mendelson had three kills to lead the offense and help put BW up 2-0.
Set 3 (DEN, 25-22): The Big Red did not roll over, as this set was a back-and-forth battle with 12 ties and six lead changes. BW started to pull away with a 5-1 scoring run that put them ahead 19-15. Denison responded by scoring the next five and stealing the momentum. The Yellow Jackets only hit a .079 hitting efficiency with 12 kills and nine attack errors.
Set 4 (DEN, 25-22): BW started with a 5-1 lead, but the Big Red fought back to tie the score at 11-11. Denison then clicked into an offensive rhythm as they put together 18 kills with only four attack errors for a .304 team hitting percentage. The Big Red forced a fifth set.
Set 5 (BW, 15-12): The Yellow Jackets had the lead the entire set after starting out 4-1 and continuing to apply offensive pressure. The Brown and Gold offense had their best set of the night with a .350 hitting percentage.
