BEREA, Ohio – The No. 19 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team, led by Head Coach Joe Eby, earned first place in the DIII All-Ohio Indoor Championships with a score of 130.5 points. The team also competed in the OWU Open on Friday.

There were 11 Yellow Jackets who earned All-Ohio recognition. All-Ohio honors were awarded to the top three finishers in each event. 

OWU Open – Track Event Highlights

• Sophomore Christian Orgel (Sullivan/Black River) earned first place out of 19 finishers in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.06.
• Junior Aaron Lewis (Cleveland Heights) finished the mile run in third place with a time of 4:48.04.

OWU Open – Field Event Highlights

• Senior thrower Alex Trusso (Valley View/Cuyahoga Heights) landed a weight throw mark of 12.87m (42' 2.75") while earning third place in the event. He was only .03m shy of his career best.

All-Ohio Championships – Track Event Highlights

• All-Ohio Athletic Conference sophomore sprinter Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) earned All-Ohio honors after finishing in second place in the 60m dash finals with a time of 6.97 seconds.
• Indoor All-OAC senior Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights/Benedictine) was recognized as All-Ohio in the 60m dash with his third-place time of 6.98 seconds.
• Senior USTFCCCA All-Academic distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station/Columbia) ran a 1:58.74 time in the 800m to earn second place and All-Ohio honors.
• Sophomore Nick Swartz (Marion/Pleasant) earned a personal record 5000m time of 15:28.22 and was named All-Ohio with a third-place finish. He now has the best 5000m time on the team this season.

All-Ohio Championships – Field Event Highlights

• Junior All-OAC jumper Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) earned All-Ohio honors with his season-best high jump mark of 1.99m (6' 6.25"). This height is the best on the team and the second-best in the OAC this season.
• Junior sprinter/vaulter Connor Radojcsics (Mount Gilead/Northmor) hit a season-best pole vault height of 4.56m (14' 11.5") to finish in third place and earn an All-Ohio recognition.
• All-American sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion/Harding) won the long jump with a 7.18m (23' 6.75") jump to be named All-Ohio.
• Senior sprinter/jumper Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station/Columbia) is now an All-Ohio jumper after finishing in second place in the triple jump with a 13.35m (43' 9.75") mark. This was his season-best mark, and he is now third in the OAC.
• All-OAC senior thrower Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) was named All-Ohio after winning the shot put with his 15.27m (50' 1.25") put.
• Junior USTFCCCA All-Academic thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) had a weight throw of 17.95m (58' 10.75") to be named All-Ohio.
• Academic All-OAC junior thrower Ethan Long (Springboro) earned a personal record in the weight throw and is now All-Ohio with his second-place throw of 17.02m (55' 10.25"). His throw is now third in the OAC.

All-Ohio Championships – Relay Event Highlights

• Washington Jr., Faggs, USTFCCCA All-Academic junior Wesley Noeth (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), and Simmons finished with All-Ohio honors in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:30.83 to finish in third place.
