TIFFIN, Ohio – The No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team, led by Head Coach
Joe Eby, stands in second place in the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships with 48.5 points on the day. Three Yellow Jackets also earned Indoor All-OAC honors.
The top three finishers in each final event are recognized as Indoor All-OAC student-athletes.
Track Event Highlights
- Senior OAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station/Columbia) and sophomore USTFCCCA All-Academic runner Will Prato (Massillon/Jackson) both earned personal records in the 500m run. Sikorski finished sixth with a time of 1:06.60 and Prato finished in seventh with a 1:06.84 time.
- Junior Academic All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) was named Indoor All-OAC in the 400m dash with a third-place time of 49.87 seconds while bringing in six points for BW.
- Sophomore All-Ohio sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) and senior All-Ohio sprinter Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights/Benedictine) both qualified for the 60m dash finals tomorrow. Simmons took third in the prelims with a 6.93-second finish, and Washington Jr. earned a PR with a sixth-place time of 6.95 seconds.
Field Event Highlights
- Senior All-American sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion/Harding) landed 10 points and first place in the long jump with his season-best jump of 7.28m (23' 10.75"). The Indoor All-Ohio athlete was only .07 meters shy of the school record.
- Junior USTFCCCA All-Academic thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) earned Indoor All-Ohio honors with a first-place weight throw of 18.47m (60' 7.25"). He also scored 10 points for the team.
