TIFFIN, Ohio – The No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished the 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships in second place after two days of action inside Frann's Fieldhouse at Heidelberg University. They scored a total of 138.5 points.
The top three finishers in each final event were recognized as Indoor All-OAC student-athletes. 12 Yellow Jackets earned Indoor All-OAC honors this weekend for the men. There were also two OAC champions; senior OAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station/Columbia) in the mile run and senior All-Ohio sprinter/jumper
Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station/Columbia) in the triple jump.
Friscone also broke the school record in triple jump, while the 4x200m squad accomplished the same feat.
Individual awards were given to
Sikorski for being the Men's Jim Wuske Most Outstanding Distance Runner and to junior USTFCCCA All-Academic thrower
Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) for being the co-recipient of the Men's Sparky Adams Most Outstanding Field Athlete.
Track Event Highlights
- Sikorski became the OAC champion in the mile run with his season-best mile time of 4:17.09. He also finished in second place in the 1000m run with a time of 2:32.52 to earn two All-OAC nods.
- Junior hurdler Samuel Skor (Columbia Station/Columbia) earned Indoor All-OAC honors with his career-best 60m hurdles time of 8.39 seconds to finish in third place. He scored six points for the team.
- Sophomore distance runner Will Prato (Massillon/Jackson) earned Indoor All-OAC in the 800m run with his second-place finish of 1:56.53.
Field Event Highlights
- Friscone set a triple jump school record with his 14.19m (46' 6.75") jump. He broke a record that he previously set in 2024 of 14.08m. Friscone also earned Indoor All-OAC honors on top of being the OAC champion in triple jump.
- Junior OAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) earned Indoor All-OAC honors with his second-place 2.00m (6' 6.75") high jump.
- Senior All-Ohio thrower Mason Kiesel (New London/South Central) earned second place in the shot put with his season-best mark of 15.70m (51' 6.25") to be named Indoor All-OAC.
Relay Highlights
- Junior Academic All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), sophomore All-Ohio sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md./Walkersville), senior All-Ohio sprinter Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights/Benedictine), senior All-American sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion/Harding), and first-year sprinter Sammy Tomlinson (Massillon/Dalton) broke the school record in the 4x200m relay by .16 seconds (set in 2015) with a time of 1:29.69. Their third-place finish earned the whole squad Indoor All-OAC honors.
