ALLIANCE, Ohio - The No. 8 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace women's basketball team defeated the University of Mount Union in a thriller, 62-58, inside Timken Gymnasium.Â
BW (19-2,12-0 OAC) won their 30th-straight regular season Ohio Athletic Conference game tonight, dating back to February 17, 2024, and are currently riding a 16-game winning streak. The Yellow Jackets were down eight going into halftime, and in the second half they held the Purple Raiders to 41.9% from the floor and outscored them 45-33 in the second half to earn their 12th conference victory of the season. The Yellow Jackets showcased their depth with 41 bench points in the contest.
BW Leaders (19-2, 12-0 OAC)
- Senior guard Leah Riley (Cincinnati / Sycamore) led all scorers with 18 points, adding three assists and two steals
- Junior guard Taylor Bass (Strongsville) came off the bench and added 13 points, including four-of-five from deep
- Senior forward Alyssa Miller (New Philadelphia) led the Yellow Jackets with seven reboundsÂ
- Sophomore guard Elise Champagne (Columbia Station / Columbia) tallied a game-high four assists while adding six points off the benchÂ
- Junior guard Ava Wilkerson (West Mansfield / Marysville) added 11 pointsÂ
Mount Union Leaders (13-8, 5-7 OAC)
- Junior forward Elizabeth Mason led Mount Union with 13 points while adding eight rebounds and four assists
- Junior guard Reese Triplett led the Purple Raiders with nine rebounds and three blocks
- Sophomore guard Lily Scott  tallied nine points and three assists
1st Quarter (Mount Union 13-11)
- Mount Union started the game on a 10-0 run in the first four minutesÂ
- Riley got the scoring started for the Brown and Gold with two free throws
- Mason led the Purple Raiders with four points
- The Yellow Jackets scored nine points off the benchÂ
- BW ended the quarter on an 8-0 runÂ
2nd Quarter (Mount Union 25-17)
- The Purple Raiders started the quarter on a 10-0 runÂ
- Junior guard Tess Conroy led Mount Union with six points in the quarter

3rd Quarter (Tied 38-38)
- Wilkerson knocked down two of the four threes for the Yellow Jackets in the quarterÂ
- The Brown and Gold held the Purple Raiders to just 38.5% shooting in the frameÂ

4th Quarter (BW 62-58)
- The Yellow Jackets opened the first five minutes of the quarter on a 15-9 run
- Riley scored 10 points in the quarter
