ASHLAND, Ohio – The No. 19 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team, led by head coach
Joe Eby, completed the Fifth Jud Logan Light Giver Open at Ashland University inside the Niss Athletic Center in a two-day meet.
Track Event Highlights
- Senior USTFCCCA All-Academic distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station/Columbia) set the indoor 800m run school record with his time of 1:52.76. His third place time beat his previous record by .94 seconds.
- Junior USTFCCCA All-Academic sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) took fifth place in the 400m dash (elite race) with a season-best time of 49.35 seconds, which is les than one second shy of his PR.
- Sophomore Nick Swartz (Marion/Pleasant) earned a PR in the mile run with a time of 4:19.66, which beat his previous best by over six seconds.
- On Friday, All-Ohio Athletic Conference sophomore sprinter Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) had a season-best 200m dash time of 22.02 seconds to take sixth place.
Field Event Highlights
- All-OAC senior thrower Mason Kiesel (New London / South Central) had a season-best shot put of 15.60m, which is now the second-best mark in the OAC this season.
- Junior USTFCCCA All-Academic thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) set a shot put PR with his 15.39m (50' 6") mark to take fourth place.
- Junior All-OAC jumper Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) had a season-best high jump mark of 1.96m (6'5").
Relay Event Highlights
- Simmons, sophomore Will Prato (Massillon/Jackson), Sikorski, and Noeth ran a 3:24.95 4x400m relay time, which is less than two seconds shy of the school record set in 2016 (3:23.01).

- No. 19 men's indoor track and field will host the Mid-February Meet on Friday, February 13 at 4:00 p.m. on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. They will also compete in the All-Ohio Indoor Championships at Otterbein inside the Clements Recreation Center on Saturday, February 14.
