BEREA, Ohio – The No. 12 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team fell to Wabash (Ind.) College by scores of 25-20, 23-25, 22-25, 25-16 and 10-15 in a back-and-forth five set battle.
In the inaugural Block Out Cancer Match, men's volleyball helped to raise over $3,000 for the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. The program would like to thank 513 Beach Volleyball, J Rayl, OMC, Todd Jay Photography, the Cleveland Kong, Middleburg Nutrition, and the fans in attendance for their generous support of this cause.
BW Leaders
- Senior Second-Team All-MCVL middle hitter Colby Whiteside (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) gave out a team-high three service aces
- First-year setter Ethan Gundrum (Cincinnati/ McNicholas) gave out a team leading 58 assists
- First-year outside hitter Tyler Schunk (Eden, N.Y.) and junior right side hitter Jacob Esteves (Wickliffe/St. Edward) led the Yellow Jackets with nine digs
Wabash Leaders
- Bawibawi Thang led the Little Giants with 15 kills and 10 digs
- Matthew Stitle gave out 39 assists
- Zed Wolverton and Christopher Board led the team in service aces each giving out three
