Fort Myers, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team defeated Haverford (Pa.) College by a score of 11-4 at Terry Park Sports Complex for their third consecutive win.
The Yellow Jackets' offense was the story of the day for the second time in the streak. They were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference third baseman Sean Kolenich (Parma/St Edward), who had four hits, his second game of the season with at least four hits, as BW moves to 5-2 on the season.
Scoring Summary
Bottom 1st - Junior designated hitter Colin West (Westborough, Mass./Worcester Academy) started off the scoring in the top half of the first with a single that scored two runs
Bottom 2nd - Kolenich singled to right, which scored a run, and BW went up 3-0
Bottom 2nd - Kolenich scored a run on a sequence in which senior center fielder Dennis Ritlinger-Nirider (Grove City) stole second base

Bottom 6th - Sophomore catcher Yuri Bellina (Medina/Padua Franciscan) drove in his first run of the season, which scored West
Bottom 6th - Sophomore utility player Maddox Tarquinio (McKees Rock, Pa./Montour) singled to give the Brown and Gold a 10-1 lead
Bottom 7th - Senior John Panstares (Westlake/St Ignatius) contributed for the final run of the day on a sacrifice fly, with the score being 11-1 at the time

Kolenich was 4-for-6 at the plate, with all of his hits being singles and bringing in two runs
