BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team, led by Head Coach
Joe Eby, concluded the two-day Harrison Dillard Twilight meet at Baldwin Wallace University on the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds and inside George Finnie Stadium in an unscored meet.
BW hosted over 50 teams and 66 unattached athletes to commemorate the late Baldwin Wallace graduate and Olympic gold medalist Harrison Dillard. He graduated from BW in 1949 after winning four national titles in the hurdles in his collegiate career. Professionally, Dillard won four Olympic gold medals to go down as one of the best sprinters and hurdlers in United States Olympic history. He passed away on November 15, 2019 at the age of 96.
Track Event Highlights
- Junior Indoor All-OAC hurdler Samuel Skor (Columbia Station/Columbia) took third place in the 400m hurdles with a 55.09 second finish.
- Junior Academic All-OAC distance runner Sage Egan (Toledo/Ottawa Hills) earned fifth place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:33.67.
- Sophomore OAC Champion distance runner Nate James (Warren/Harding) ran a personal record 1500m time of 3:55.91 to finish in 11th. This is the best 1500m time of any Yellow Jacket this season.
Field Event Highlights
- Senior OAC Champion Mason Kiesel (New London/South Central) won the shot put with a 15.83m (51' 11.25") put and junior Academic All-OAC thrower Ethan Jones (Avon) earned a personal record with a third place 15.09m (49' 6.25") put.
- Junior Indoor All-Ohio sprinter/vaulter Connor Radojcsics (Mount Gilead/Northmor) landed in third place in the pole vault with a 4.44m (14' 6.75") cleared height. He only lost to two NCAA Division II student-athletes from Slippery Rock (Pa.).
- Senior All-American sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion/Harding) had a third-place jump of 7.29m (23' 11") in the long jump to finish 0.10m shy of first place.
