MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team opened the 2026 season with a victory on the road against the Allegheny College Gators by a final score of 1-0.
Kalyn Rich scored the lone goal in a tightly contested matchup. BW won their season opener for the first time in two seasons, where they defeated Geneva on the road 1-0.

Both teams went into break scoreless as the Yellow Jacket defense held Allegheny to just one shot on goal.
The Brown and Gold opened the second half hot, scoring their first goal of the season. In the 52nd minute,
Mia Fourtounis found Rich who knocked in a goal to break the tie. Goalkeeper
Mackenzie Butcher saved all four shots on goal, three of which came in the second half, allowing the Yellow Jackets to maintain their lead.
The Yellow Jackets capitalized on their chances and outshot the Gators 17-14, nine of which were on goal.
The Matchup
With their win tonight, Baldwin Wallace moves to 2-2-1 all-time against Allegheny. Tonight marks their first win against the Gators since 2012 when they won 1-0.
