GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team played its third out of four consecutive scheduled games in the state of Pennsylvania, this time defeating Thiel College by a score of 2-0 at Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field for the program's second win of the season.
Coming into action on a night where they did not score a goal in their last two games, the Yellow Jackets scored two of them in the opening half, enough to secure their first win of the road trip.
Game Recap
The Yellow Jackets' first shot of the game was a goal by
Braden Lamb, scored on the low left side of the net and assisted by
Robbie Rochford, giving them a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute of play. Over the next 29 minutes, the contest remained scoreless until
Nate Usrey connected once to make it 2-0 in favor of the Brown and Gold with
Jacob Frank assisting. Both players' goals were their first of the season, and the team's first goals scored in 2026 outside of
Robbie Rochford's two on opening night against Allegheny. In the opening half, BW led virtually every category, including shots taken (8-2) and corner kicks (3-2).
The second half was scoreless the entire way as the Yellow Jackets finished their statement. The team took 15 shots in comparison to Thiel's five. Brown and Gold Goalkeeper
Diego Teran recorded his second consecutive shutout and now has a goals-against average of under one through four games. BW took 23 shots, with nine of them coming on goal.
The Matchup
Since the 2022 season, tonight marked the fifth all-time meeting between the Yellow Jackets and the Bobcats. BW leads the all-time series, 5-0.

The Yellow Jackets are back on the pitch on Saturday, September 12, when they travel to Waynesburg University. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
