WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team defeated the College of Wooster Fighting Scots by a score of 3-0 (21-25, 28-26, 25-7, 25-21) inside Timken Gymnasium to remain undefeated at 12-0.

Set 1 (WOO, 25-21): The Fighting Scots applied the pressure throughout the set and never let the Yellow Jackets have a lead. Freshman outside hitter
Brenna Leach led the Yellow Jackets with five kills. Overall, the set was an even battle with the Yellow Jackets hitting .231 to Wooster's .244 hitting percentage and 14 kills to Wooster's 16.
Set 2 (BW, 28-26): There were 14 ties and seven lead changes in a set that went into extras. BW came out on top after forcing Wooster into 11 attack errors with two service errors for a .087 hitting percentage. Women's Yellow Jacket of the Week
Josie Lynn led the defense with four blocks out of the six total in this set.
Set 3 (BW, 25-7): BW started the set on a 6-1 run and never looked back. The Yellow Jackets led the entire set, and they had 17 kills to Wooster's three. BW had an impressive .483 hitting percentage as a team while Wooster hit for -.121. Academic All-OAC junior outside hitter
Lyla Nash led the team with five kills in their most dominant set of the season.
Set 4 (BW, 25-21): Wooster put the third set behind them and started off competitive. After five ties leading up to 13-13, the Yellow Jackets offense established a rhythm and took the lead for the rest of the match. Nash and senior All-OAC right side hitter
Lexi Smith each had five kills to lead the offense. The final point was earned by Nash with her fifth kill to earn the win.
The Matchup
BW is now 9-4 against Wooster since 2008, and they have a two-match winning streak after beating Wooster last September by a score of 3-0.
Looking Ahead
The Yellow Jackets will head to Michigan to compete in the Albion/Olivet tournament. They will play on Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Hanover at the University of Olivet inside the Cutler Event Center. On Saturday, they will play at Albion College against the Anderson University Ravens at 1:00 p.m. and the Albion Brits at 3:00 p.m. inside Kresge Gymnasium.
