Box Score OLIVET, Mich. – Sean Brouillard and the Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team completed an epic come-from-behind 3-2 victory over the University of Olivet on the UOlivet soccer field to pick up its third win of the season. It is additionally the first time in 2026 that they scored three goals in a game.
The freshman scored the first two goals of his career in the 79th and 83rd minutes trailing 2-1 in what would have been the BW's (3-2-2) third loss of the season.
Dominic Massaro came in on both assists for the second and third assists of his career in two years of wearing a BW uniform.
Game Recap
The first half saw a lot of action for both teams. The Comets scored their first goal of the game 19 minutes into it to get a lead of 1-0. A little more than a minute later, they scored their second goal of the game to give them a 2-0 lead early on.
Jacob Frank connected on the Yellow Jackets' first goal of the day, which was assisted by
Nathan Gray.
For the remainder of the half, BW took two more shots as they went into the break down by a goal. Throughout the opening 45 minutes of play, the Brown and Gold took a total of five shots and had saves on three of them.
Opening the second half of play, the Yellow Jackets had five shots in the first 25 minutes. On defense, they were able to hold Olivet scoreless throughout the second half and were trailing with a little more than 10 minutes to play in the final half.
At that point, the Yellow Jackets were able to turn it around and pull away from the Comets. It started with Brouillard scoring a goal to tie, with
Dominic Massaro coming in on the assist. Less than four minutes later, Brouillard connected again with Massaro collecting his second assist of the game. From there, it was enough for BW to hold on and claim their third victory of the season.
The Matchup
This afternoon's contest is the 5th time since 2019 that BW and Olivet have clashed against each other. The Brown and Gold have won all five of these meetings.
Looking Ahead
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, September 26 to begin a three-game homestand, with the first game being against Kalamazoo. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
