BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes. Tonight marks the Yellow Jacket's first draw of the 2026 season, bringing their overall record to 1-1-1.
 
Game Recap
Five different Yellow Jackets registered shot attempts in the first half, including a shot on goal from freshman midfielder Davis Van Every. Although the Yellow Jackets outshot the Golden Tornadoes 5-1, neither team could find the back of the net before halftime.
 
The Yellow Jackets continued to create chances on offense in the second half, taking five more shots, two of which were on net. Robbie Rochford led the team in shots with three, including one on goal. BW's defense held Geneva to just one shot on goal for the first 89 minutes until a Golden Tornado midfielder fired a shot at senior goalkeeper Diego Teran. Teran made the save, his second of the day, to keep the game scoreless and secure the draw for Baldwin Wallace.
 
The Matchup
Tonight marks the sixth men's soccer game between Geneva and BW since at least 2008. The draw, the second in matchup history, brings the Yellow Jackets' overall record against the Golden Tornados to 1-3-2.
 
Looking Ahead
The Yellow Jackets will head back to Pennsylvania to take on Thiel College on Thursday, September 10. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
