WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer junior midfielder Elise Papp has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her three-year career with the Brown and Gold.
 
The honor comes after she played three games, with two of them being on the road at Allegheny College of Pennsylvania and Buffalo State University of New York, and another being at home against Pacific Lutheran University. It marked the first of two instances the Yellow Jackets will play three games in a single week.
 
The junior earns the award primarily from her two-goal game against Buffalo State: she also tallied four points in this respective game and took three shots; all of which are career-highs for her. She tallied one shot in the win at Allegheny and another in the loss against Pacific Lutheran University.
 
For the season, Papp has played in three games and has started in all three of them. She has two goals, five shots taken (all of which have been on goal), and has seen 251 minutes of action out of 270 that the Brown and Gold have participated in. Of her two goals, one of them was a go-ahead goal at Buffalo State.
 
During her career at BW, Papp has played 36 games and made 24 starts. She has scored three goals, has six points, 18 shots taken (nine of them are on goal), one game-winner and 2,097 minutes.
 
BW will be back in action on Wednesday, September 9 as they will attempt to go 3-1 when the Case Western Reserve University Spartans will be at the George Finnie Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
