ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Austin Cordova played four years of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2014) and earned three varsity letters.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Austin played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He was a contributor in the defensive secondary for three seasons and started as a senior and part-timeas a junior. As a sophomore and junior, he was the "nickel" back in passing situations. Austin helped BW compile a 25-15 reccord with a .625 winning percentage.
Individually, Austin has played in 22 varsity games and has recorded 85 total tackles, including a career-high 51 as a senior. He also had three quarterback sacks and four QB hurries, 5.5 tackles for lost yardage, two interceptions and 10 total pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
As a freshman in 2011-2012, Austin played his first season of football and saw playing time on the junior varsity squad as a defensive back. He earned a certificate of participation. BW finished 8-2 overall and was ranked 24th in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division III national poll.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Austin played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. Austin saw action in seven varsity games in the secondary, recorded 20 total tackles and one QB sack for a loss of 10 yards. He also had one interception, recovered a fumble and two breakups. His interception in the final minute of the game saved a 32-28 victory at Ohio Athletic Conference and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University. BW finished 7-3 overall.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Austin played his third season of football and earned his second letter. He saw action in the secondary and started a number of games at safety. He played in seven games, recorded 15 tackles, including three for lost yardage, forced a fumble and had a pass breakup. BW finished 6-4 overall.
As a senior in 2014-2015, Austin played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. He played in eight games (missed two with an injury), had a career-high 51 tackles, including one QB sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and six total pas breakups. He also returned a punt 25 yards. BW finished 5-5 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Austin grew up in Perry, Ohio and graduated from Perry High School.
Austin played four years of football and earned two varsity letters. He played three years of baseball and ran one season of track. He earned one varsity letter in each sport.
