ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Austin Stephan played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University. The two-time Lee J. Tressel Academic Award winner and 2015 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection earned his first varsity letter.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS & HONOR SOCIETIES: At the team's season-ending 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 banquets, Austin received the Lee J. Tressel Academic Award. He carried a perfect 4.0 grade point average, is a member of the Dean's List and a Jacket Scholar. He also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha, Alpha Lambda and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.
ACADEMIC ALL-OAC: As a senior in 2015-2016, Austin received Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
BW ACADEMIC HONORS: As a senior in 2015-2016, Austin received the Senior Academic Excellence Award (4.0 grade point average).
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Austin played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He saw playing time at linebacker on the junior varsity team. The BW varsity finished 7-3 overall.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Austin did not participate due to an injury. At the team's season-ending banquet, Austin received the Lee J. Tressel Academic Award. The BW varsity finished 6-4 overall.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Austin played his third season of football and received a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams. For the second straight year at the team's season-ending banquet, Austin received the Lee J. Tressel Academic Award for having the highest grade point average on the football team. BW finished 5-5 overall.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Austin played his fourth season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw varsity action at linebacker and was credited with making nine total tackles. BW finished 7-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Austin Stephan grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Upper St. Clair High School.
Austin played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He also played baseball for four years and earned two letters. In football, Austin was a first-team All-Great Southern Conference selection in 2011-2012.
Academically, Austin was a High Honor Roll student for four years, a member of the Dean's List as a sophomore and the National Honors Society and served on the Student Council for three years.
