BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Theodore "Tripp" Washington III played his second season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. He earned his second varsity letter and was one of the team's top defensive backs.

Tripp also will compete in his second season of indoor (winter) and outdoor (spring) track in the winter and spring of 2016. CLICK HERE to access Theodore's track biographical information.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Tripp played his first season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He saw action in all 10 varsity games at strong safety and returned kickoffs. Trippe had 21 total tackles, including eight solo stops, one tackle for lost yardage, two interceptions and four additional pass breakups. He returned 13 kickoffs for a 20.8-yard average with a long return of 38 yards. BW finished 5-5 overall.

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Tripp played his second season of football and earned his second letter. The starting strong safety was one of BW's top defensive players. He also returned punts and kickoffs. Tripp started all 10 games and was fourth on the team with 63 tackles, including 38 solo stops and one tackle for loss. He also had one interception and six total pass breakups. He returned 14 kickoffs for a 16.8-yard average with a long return of 33 yards, and he returned four punts for an 8.0-yard average with a long return of 16 yards. BW finished 7-3 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Theodore "Tripp" Washington grew up in Orlando, Florida and graduated from The First Academy of Orlando/ Lake Mary Prep.

Tripp played football and ran track. In football, he was a Metro Conference All-Star. On defense, he had 77 tackles, including 51 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, one quarterback sack, three interceptions, one caused fumble and four fumble recoveries, including one he returned for a 58-yard TD. On offense, he had 52 carries for 331 yards and four TD's and six receptions for 52 yards and two scores.

In track, he was a Florida state champion.
