ACADEMIC MAJOR: Athletic Training
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Brian Stepp played four seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2013-2016). He was a key member of the varsity and middle linebacker rotation for three years and earned three varsity letters.
CAREER SYNOPSIS: Brian played four years of football, earned three varsity letters and helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 21-19 record. He split time as a starter at MLB for three seasons, appeared in 26 career games and recorded 89 tackles, including 36 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss (six yards), forced a fumble and blocked a kick.
THROUGH-THE-YEARS: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Brian played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He played linebacker on the Junior Varsity team. BW finished 6-4 overall.
As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Brian played his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He played in 10 varsity games and alternated at linebacker and on special teams. He had 10 total tackles, including one for loss, and forced a fumble. BW finished 5-5 overall.
As a junior in 2015-2016, Brian played his third season of football and earned his second letter. The middle linebacker saw action in the varsity rotation and started the season-opener at Bluffton University. Brian registered 23 total tackles, including eight solo stops. BW finished 7-3 overall.
As a senior in 2016-2017, Brian played his fourth season of football and earned his third letter. Brian started seven games on the varsity at middle linebacker and was credited with 56 tackles to rank third on the team. He had three tackles for loss. Brian had a career-high 14 tackles against the University of Mount Union on Sept. 24 and again versus Marietta College on Oct. 1. BW finished 3-7 overall.
OTHER CAMPUS GROUPS: Brian is a member of the student sports information staff. He also was a webcaster who called action for BW's Ohio Athletic Conference Championship wrestling team.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Brian Stepp grew up in North Royalton, Ohio and graduated from North Royalton High School.
Brian played football for four years. He earned honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio Conference honors, was a team captain in 2012 and was the N.R.H.S. Defensive Most Valuable Player.
