BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Alec Taylor played his first season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2016-2017. The freshman middle linebacker earned a certificate of participation.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2016-2017, Alec played his first season of football and earned a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams at LB. He was a key player on a J.V. team that had a 6-1 record. The BW varsity finished 3-7 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Alec grew up in Holland, Ohio and graduated from Holland Springfield High School.

Alec played football, wrestled and ran track and earned nine total varsity letters, including four each in football and track.

In football, Alec was a two-time Holland Springfield H.S. Linebacker of the Year and Defensive PLayer of the Year. He also earned All-Blade (Toledo Blade) and first-team All-District accolades. He set school records for tackles in a season (135), quarterback sacks in a game (eight) and tackles for loss in a game (five), season (21) and career (34).

In track, Alec ran on school-record-setting relay teams in the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relays.

Academically, Alec was an Honor Roll student.
