BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Ben Blechschmid tried to play his first season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016, but an injury forced him to miss the season.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2015-2016, Ben tried to play his first season of football, but an injury forced him to miss the season. The running back/ slot receiver is expected to return in 2016-2017.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Ben grew up in Burton, Ohio and graduated from Berkshire High School.

Ben played four years of football and earned four varsity letters.

As a senior, Ben was a first-team All-Chagrin Valley Conference and first-team All-Geauga County pick at running back. He was the Geauga County Offensive Player of the Year. Ben also was a first-team All-District pick and earned All-Ohio (All-State) honors. As a freshman, Ben was a first-team All-Geauga County pick at defensive back.

Ben set Berkshire school records for most total yards (2,300), touchdowns (24) and points scored (152) in a single season.
