SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): Asa senior in 2012, Joe will play his fourth season of football andseek a fourth varsity letter. He lettered in 2008 and 2009, missedthe 2010 season with an injury and lettered in 2011.
ATHLETIC HONORS: Joe was named the OACDefensive Player-of-the-Week with his performance against BlufftonUniversity where he recorded three tackles and 2.5 sacks.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Joe had a solidfour-year football career. B-W had a 23-17 record during his fourseasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned two varsity letters,recorded 29 career tackles, including 14 solo, three tackles forloss, two forced fumbles, and one recovered fumble.
As a freshman in 2008, Joe played in his first season of varsityfootball. He saw playing time in seven games for the YellowJackets and recorded two tackles, playing at defensive end and onspecial teams.
As a sophomore in 2009, Joe played in his second season offootball and earned his second varsity letter. Joe played in ninegames for the Yellow Jackets and recorded 16 tackles. He sawplaying time on the defensive line as well as on special teams.
As a junior in 2010, Joe did not compete in football as hesustained an injury during training camp that did not allow him tocompete.
As a senior in 2011, Joe competed in his third season offootball for the Yellow Jackets and earned his second varsityletter. He saw playing time on the defensive line and played ineight games. Joe recorded a 11 tackles including two for a loss ofseven yards and he forced two fumbles while recovering one of them.Joe played a key role in theYellow Jackets success as B-W finishedwith an overall record of 8-2.
As a senior in 2012, Joe will play his fourth season of footballand is listed as a preseason starter at DE.
