BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Joe Mandato tried to play his first season of football at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016, but an injury forced him to miss the season.
As a freshman in 2015-2016, Joe tried to play his first season of football, but an injury forced him to miss the season. The linebacker/ long snapper is expected to return in 2016-2017. BW finished 7-3 overall.
OTHER GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS: Joe is a member of the Honors and STEM Programs.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Joe grew up in Broadview Heights, Ohio and graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.
Joe played four years of football and earned two varsity letters. He played tight end on offense, linebacker on defense and long snapped in kicking situations. He received a "Coach's Award" on defense and was a Special Teams Player of the Week on multiple occassions.
As a senior, Joe only played in 14 quarters due to an injury. Despite his injury, he had 50 total tackles, two quarterback sacks, one caused fumble and one recovered fumble. He did not have a bad snap for two seasons.
Academically, Joe was a member of the National Honors Society and the BBHHS-North Royalton H.S. Interact Club.
