ACADEMIC MAJOR: Sport Management
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: John Allen played two seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University (2013-2014 and 2016-2017). The defensive end earned one letter.
In addition, in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, John did not play football. He served as a key member of the athletics equipment and facility staff as a student assistant/ intern.
THROUGH-THE-YEARS: As a freshman in 2012-2013, John played his first season of football and received a certificate of participation. He saw playing time at linebacker on the junior varsity team. BW finished 7-3 overall.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, John olayed his second season of football and earned his second certificate of participation. He moved from linebacker to the defensive line and split time between the varsity and J.V. teams. On the varsity, John played on the DL and special teams and was credited with making three tackles. BW finished 6-4 overall.
In 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, John did not play football. He served as a key member of the athletics equipment and facility staff as a student assistant.
As a red-shirt senior in 2016-2017, John played his third season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He started at defensive end and made his first career start versus Marietta College. John had a career-high 27 tackles, including 16 solo stops, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks. He also caused one fumble and recovered another. BW finished 3-7 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: John grew up in Hudson, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (located in Hudson).
John played four seasons of football and earned three varsity letters He also played three years of basketball and earned one letter.
In football as a senior in 2011-12, John earned both All-Principal's Athletic Conference and All-District honors.
Academically, he was a Merit Roll Student in both 2010-11 and 2011-12.
