BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Skyler Simpson will be entering his fourth season as a Yellow Jacket in 2013-2014. Skyler has earned two varsity letters.
ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW: As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Skyler was named a Jacket Scholar as well as was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma.
GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Skyler is off to a solid basketball career thus far. BW has recorded a 44-32 record during his first three seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 41 games and has averaged 2 points per game and grabbed 1.2 rebounds per game. Skyler has recorded a career total of 82 points, four blocks, seven assists and two steals.
As a freshman in 2010-11, Skyler played in his first season of basketball. He saw action in one game this season and looks to see more next season.
As a sophomore in 2011-12, Skyler competed in his second season of basketball for the Yellow Jackets. He appeared in 19 games off the bench for B-W. Skyler averaged 1.1 points per game on .323 percent shooting, 10-31. He grabbed 20 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. Skyler was tied in team-high rebounds with five against Marietta on a 93-74 win on December 3, 2011.
As a junior in 2012-13, Skyler played his third season of basketball and earned his third varsity letter after appearing in 21 games for the 19-6 Yellow Jackets. He averaged 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per game while shooting 34.6 percent (18-of-52) from the field and tallying four assists, three blocks and a steal. Skyler scored a season-high nine points in a 94-71 win against Marietta College on Jan. 5.
As a senior in 2013-2014, Skyler will be entering his fourth season of basketball and look for his third varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Skyler Simpson grew up in Centerburg, Ohio and graduated from Centerburg High School. Skyler played basektabll for four years and earned four varsity letters.
As a freshman in high school, Skyler earned second team All-League, honorable mention District II, honorable mention Central District, and honorable mention Mt. Vernon News Area. As a sophomore, Skyler was first team All-League, first team All-District II, second team Central District, first team Mount Vernon News Area, and honorable mention All-Ohio. As a junior in high school, Skyler was first team All-league, first team All-District II, second team Central District, first team Mount Vernon News Area, Player of the Year All-Leaue, Mount Vernon News Player of the Year, honorable mention All-Ohio. As a senior in high school, Skyler earned first team All-League, first team All-District II, second team Central District, first team Mount Vernon news area, honorble mention All-Ohio, Mount Vernon News Senior Showcase, District II All-Star Game, League Champs, District Champs, Sweet 16.
