BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Tyler Ferrell will be entering his third and senior season at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He will look to earn his third varsity letter.
GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Tyler is off to a solid basketball career thus far. BW has recorded a 35-16 record during his first two seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 50 games and has averaged 6.1 points per game and grabbed 3.7 rebounds per game. Tyler finished with an overall total of 303 points, 24 blocks, 20 assists and 14 steals.
Tyler competed in his first season of basketball as a sophomore for B-W in the 2011-12 season. He was a transfer student from Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.). He appeared in 25 games and started in all 25 appearances. He scored 172 total points, which averaged to 6.9 points per game, shooting .466 percent, 62-133 from the field. He was .316 behind the three point arch, 6-19 attempts. Tyler pulled in 112 rebounds, at 4.5 rebounds per contest. He also contributed a team-high 17 blocks, eight assists and six steals. Look for Tyler to be force for the Yellow Jackets next season.
As a junior in 2012-13, Tyler played his second season of basketball, starting all 25 games for the 19-6 Yellow Jackets. He averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds while ranking third on the team with a 47.1 shooting percentage (40-of-85), and second at the foul line, shooting 85.4 percent (41-of-48). He notched a career-high 17 points in a 74-64 win at Muskingum University on Jan. 12.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Tyler Ferrell grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. Tyler played four years of basketball and three of football. He earned a letter each year he played each sport.
Tyler was a four year letterwinner at Brunswick. He broke almost every school record held at Brunswick. He was a two time All-District First Team Selection as well as First-Team All-Northeast Ohio Conference two years in a row. For his great play, Tyler was also named Honorable Mention and Special Mention All-Ohio following his junior and senior season, respectively. The Medina Gazette took notice of his great play as he was named to their First-Team after his junior season and he was the newspapers MVP following his senior season.
